The Nationals - Chris Fuller Professional Squash Player's Blog
Having never done particulaly well at the British Nationals and after a disasterous tournament last year I was unsupried to find myself in qualifying for this year's event.
On the first day of the tournament though (Sunday) I got a phone call saying that a withdrawral from Ben Ford had opened the way to me being in the main draw and therefore not having to play until Tuesday. Obviously delighted following the news a day of relaxation followed instead of a trip to Manchester, safe in the knowledge that I had just had my best Nationals ever without having to hit a ball!
Tonight I play Joel Hinds (World ranked 88) in the first round. A win, although obviously difficult is not impossible and would be a great place to start some sucess in the Nationals in front of our new National coach - Chris Robertson.
I'll keep you posted!
