Not quite the result I was hoping for - Chris Fuller Professional Squash Player's Blog
Losing 3-0 is never a good result! The 11-8, 12-10, 12-10 scoreline shows that although 3-0 it was close but having gone into the match with a lot of confidence of a potential upset I'm very disappointed with how the match turned out. For some reason I felt very flat and not as aggressive or explosive as I would have liked to have been. Maybe not having to qualify this time had a negative affect in a way (you won't hear me saying that very often)! Whatever it was not a good performance and a lot to learn from for my next tournament in Austria later this month.
For now its back to the hard graft of training and leagues with a trip to Hamburg this weekend for German Bundesliga 2. Having looked at the fixtures I think I'll be playing Simon Frenz an ex German National Champion who apparently at 40 almost beat Dylan Bennett the world number 70 a few weeks ago losing 3-2 having been 2-0 up!
I can't wait!
