Build Up

Posted 14:14 02 April 2009 in European Juniors 2009

With the Championships almost here the blogging can start!

My preparations have been going really well, training sessions have been going pretty much to plan and I have been applying the work in matches effectively.
My final match in preparation was the National Premier League semi final for Probuild Bristol against Chapel Allerton.
I was pitched against former British Junior Champion Jenna Gates, now 22, and managed to assert my authority early on attacking with confidence.
This 3-0 win was a great confidence boost so close to Europeans and I feel this will show in Germany.

The draw for the individual championships was released last week, and with the seeding commitee recognising my top European ranking and recent British Junior Closed sucess I have been seeded number 1 for the event with my England team mate and British Championship final opponent, Kim Hay seeded 2.
I feel full of confidence in my squash and am going to give my best shot at whatever any of the other girls can throw at me.

So one last sharpening up session then off to Manchester before catching my plane tomorrow morning. Auf Wiedersehen for now!
