Day 2

My first match today, I won pretty comfortably 3-0 just losing a bit of concentration in the 3rd game. The German number one was upset by the French number 2 in the last 16 so I now faced 15 year old French girl Melissa Alves in the Quarter Finals this afternoon. After watching one of the English boys take out the number one seed in the boys event immediately before me I felt I had to keep the good run going. I took the first reasonably comfortably but made too many errors and lost the second 11-8. I regained my composure and took a tight 3rd game before taking control and breezing the final game to take a 3-1 win and a place in the Semi finals. In the Semi Finals I face an England team mate, Julianne Courtice who beat 2 higher seeds to make this stage. The other Semi Final will also feature 2 english girls, the first time this has happened for a number of years! I am feeling confident going into tomorrow's match and looking forward to the challenge. The match is at 3pm BST and can be viewed live online via the tournament website.
