When you have forced your opponent to play a back wall boast life seems oh so easy! You have lots of time to think, get into position and put the ball away and yet you muck it up! I sometimes feel there is a tendency to get 'hypnotised' by the ball as it comes over your head and you forget to move your feet until the last possible moment and then it's all a bit of a rush. Couple this with indecision about where your opponent is and what shot to play and it's surprising you get the ball up at all!

You can liken it to a penalty kick in football. It's best to decide where you are going to put the ball and concentrate on just doing that . Don't change your mind! You are in a position to play lots of different attacking shots... just pick one!

The drop shot may seem like the obvious choice as they have hit a defensive shot from the back of the court. However if it is a decent back wall boast they have an age to get back to the 'T' so a hard drive could be just as effective. So long as you hit a good quality shot from this winning position you don't need to do anything fancy using lots of disguise. Keep it simple!

So in summary, assume that your opponent will be on the 'T', make your mind up early on what shot you are going to play, get you feet and body into position ready and JUST DO IT'!
