One of my favourite shots is the straight backhand drop.
I play this shot when I've worked my opponent around and they are behind me, and it has given me some time and space to play the drop.
It's not always a winning shot, but if you get it tight to the wall it can be a good working shot.
I try not to think about too much, so as not to overcomplicate it, but I focus on a few simple things.
I look to take it out in front of me, with the racket face open and having a short swing.
