This threes exercise concentrates on boasts and straight drives but is more dynamic than the basic boast and drive exercise. It encourages recovery to the 'T' zone after each rear court shot as the next ball may be played short or long. Two players are involved at any one time allowing the third player to take a physical rest. However they need to maintain awareness in case the play switches back to their side!

The condition is that players have to drive straight from a boast but have the option of straight drive or boast from the rear court. Once a boast is played the third player will be involved in the rally with the player that has to drive straight from the front court. The person who has played the boast will temporarily drop out.

As mentioned this boast and drive routine puts players under greater physical pressure and encourages movement recovery, but it also provides opportunities for players to disguise their shots more from the rear court. If you can create doubt in an opponent's mind with only two options just imagine what you can do with more!
