This game encourages you to build a rally and pick the correct ball to attack short. It challenges the width on your drives and volley drives, and develops your skills to take the ball in short on the volley.
The rules are that both players must keep their shots within the channel and behind the short line. The only exception is that you can hit the ball short with a drop volley.
The opponent must then return the ball to the rear court channel so defending straight from the front corners also comes into play.
A progression of this game is to allow a counter drop to the drop volley. Now your drop volley must be played at the right time with quality or you will be under pressure from the counter attack.
