I am going to give you a few solo practices now, more for advanced players, and these are to practice your drop shots and volley drop shots from the centre of the court.

Remember we are playing as many cross-court drops here as straight drops but in a match this a select shot. You would only play it occasionally when the court is really open and you see your opponent stranded in the back corner. The bread and butter straight drops you have to practice them all the time. The cross-court shot is a useful shot but you really don't want to over play it! It is a great fun shot to bring into your practice.

Note I am moving my feet quite a lot when I am doing these exercises. When you watch the best squash players their footwork is really good, particularly from the centre of the court.

Traditionally I have done this exercise with a red dot ball because it is better to keep the ball really hot. Alternately just do a figure of eight to warm the ball up and then practice the next exercise. I assure you it will add something to your game!
