What is the common denominator for all of Jenny's shots from the front forehand corner? It's early preparation!
The standard racket take back allows her to hit early or late, hard or soft, and consequently to play a wide variety of shots. It is very difficult for her opponent to know where the next shot is going.
Note her compact back swing! This allows Jenny to start her swing near to the time of impact with the ball. This in turn gives her opponent less time to react. Now jenny is set up to hit to any corner and will give no signals of what is to come until it is usually too late. By varying her shots well and keeping her opponent guessing she sets herself up to win rallies with her next shot.
