Also see how he stretches across to the T to hit the ball – he’s almost off screen! This has 2 advantages. Firstly he is already on the T with time to spare, and secondly the angle of the ball traveling to the sidewall is shallower, and will consequently keep the ball close into the sidewall for longer.
