The straight forehand drive is the most common way to get the ball into back forehand corner, which puts the ball and our opponent in a difficult position and you controlling the T area.

To play this shot well we need; an early racket preparation; your left foot forward with chest facing the side wall; an open racket face and a swing which follows through the path we want the ball to go on.

The whole swing is a similar action to when you skim a flat stone over water.
