Today I'm going to talk to you about the forehand volley drop particularly off cross-courts.

If you can get a good length on the backhand side and force your opponent to relieve the pressure by hitting cross-court. A really effective shot is to try and get onto that cross-court early and hit it in short with the volley drop.

The main coaching points are:

get a good high T position

use a short back swing to get your racket in behind the ball

take the ball out in front of you

and follow through to the front wall
