When we are playing squash what we are trying to do is put the ball right on the side wall preferably in a corner. What happens when your opponent does this to you? How are we going to get this off? Here are a few ideas for you!
The first thing to bear in mind that getting this ball off the side wall is going to be difficult. We need to build in as much margin for error as possible. So what I would like you to do is hit the ball nice and softly because if you try and swing hard at this you might break your racket. Subconsiously you will start to move away and you have got less chance of hitting the ball.
Because we are going to hit the ball softly we will need to aim nice and high to give us a chance to get the ball abck to the back of the court. This has the added advantage of if we do slightly mis-hit this ball is likely to still go up. It could even become a very lucky mis-hit winner.
