A few years ago I injured my knee, so one of the most important things for me is to protect my knee when I am playing squash. It is important to make sure your gluts are 'firing', the term the physios and strength and conditioning people like to use, helping the rest of your body, so you are not putting it under undue stress and strain. So this exercise, called the North/South/East/West Hop, is basically hopping around a point to get your gluts working. It is something I do quite often especially in the warm up!
