A Trickle boast is an attacking shot played in the front corner of the court. It is most successful when played as an occasional variation to your usual shots. The ball should be quickly 'trickled' around the front angles to die near the centre area of the court.

A common misconception for this boast is that the ball needs to end up in the opposite front corner. Playing the shot in this way will give the opponent more time to reach the ball and it will be positioned nicely for them to play straight, a shot you cannot easily cover. Best leave the ball in the centre area of the court so if they do read the trickle boast they will have to play an awkward shot from in front of their body.

So remember, the trick is to 'trickle'!
