As a coach I’m always amazed at how little time players put aside to improve their game.

In most other sports matches are interspersed with training sessions, which are seen as an important preparation for these matches.

If you are playing three to four times a week perhaps you can use a court just for practice with your regular playing partner.

Alternatively once the best-of-five match has finished why not spend the remainder of the court time playing routines for points!
