This is a great fun game to develop your lobs. The idea is to hit the out-of-court line with the ball. The ball is allowed to go out of court and the only other rule is that the ball must bounce before the short line for your opponent to hit. So hit the line and get a point. It is not that easy so play to a low number otherwise you may be playing for a while. Don't forget to swap sides!

By getting your racket coming up underneath the ball and by using your forearm and wrist to give the ball even more height you will learn to get a feel of how to give the ball more flight time.  When your lobs to 'float' in the air in this way you buy yourself more time to recover to the 'T' and put them on the defensive with a dropping ball. Even though you are deliberately hitting short the technique is the same when hitting your lobs to the rear court. Just come through the ball with more pace and follow through.
