Hi! My name is Mark Chaloner and I’m just going to show you a few speed work drills.

This is how you set the rackets up for the Three Step Drill.

  1. You stand at the’T’.
  2. You do one full lunge forwards and reach as far as you can…and that is where the racket handle ends up. Keep all the rackets as equal as possible…you can see the position of them on the floor now.
  3. I generally do three touches of each racket three times….so nine touches…and time it and obviously that sets your targets for the next time you do it.

So you are looking for consistency of times, control of movement and lowering your rest times so that you are able to repeat the same exercise with the same quality with less recovery time.
