Your exact position on the T should vary from shot to shot. It will be dictated by your previous shot and also by the preferred playing style of your opponent.

It should be slightly drawn towards the ball wherever that may be on the court.

When the ball is at the front, we need to cover this area for a counter attack.

When it’s on the backhand we should cover this side slightly. The adjustments need only be subtle.

If your opponent often plays aggressively to the front then this will also push you forward on the T.

The quality of your shot may reduce the options of your opponent. This will then affect which corners we need to cover, and therefore where we stand on tbe T.
